21세기 정보화 사회에 접어들면서 수많은 아이디어와 창의력을 위해 다학제간 다양한 소통과 합의를 도출할 수 있는 통합 교육을 위한 신교육기법이 요구되고 있다. 고령화사회는 노인문제를 야기하며 이를 해결하기 위한 방안을 모색하기 위해서는 노인에 대한 이해가 전제되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 노화와 고령사회에 대한 이해를 증진할 수 있는 신교육기법을 개발하고 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 신교육기법은 노인을 주제로 하는 영화를 감상하고 이에 대한 토론을 전개하며 생애사 기록 기법을 과제로 수행하는 세 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 선정된 영화는 2000년 이후 노인에 대한 이해를 도모하기 위해 기획된 대중 영화로 노트북, 시, 아이리스, 러블리 스틸 네 편이다. 수업의 효과는 학생들의 토론내용과 이를 확인하기 위하여 설문지를 활용한 자기평가 방법을 통해 파악하였다. 첫째, 노인에 대한 전반적인 이해 증진과 함께 영화를 활용한 수업에 대해 긍정적인 반응을 보였다 둘째, 본인이 노인이 되었을 때 어떻게 살아야 할 지에 대한 생각의 기회를 가지게 되었다. 셋째, 노년기에 어떻게 살 게 될 것인가를 예상하고 들여다볼 수 있는 기회가 되었다. 이러한 노년기에 겪을 삶의 변화에 대해 어떻게 대비해야 하는 가에 대한 사고를 증진 시켰다. 넷째, 이러한 고령화 미래에 대비하여 각각의 전공이 어떻게 연계될 수 있는지를 생각하게 되었다. 이러한 응답은 노인들에 대한 학생들의 생각과 이해가 변했다는 것으로 신교육기법의 효용성을 검증해주는 것이다.

In information-oriented society, a new educational method for the integrated education is required to draw diverse communications and agreements between several fields for various ideas and creative thoughts. It should be built on understanding of the elderly to find out the solution about the elderly problems from the aging society. The purpose of this study was to develop a new educational method for promoting understanding aging and the aged society and examining the effect of it. A new educational method was composed of three sectors; watching movies about the elderly and discussion and making Life Story Making Tool. Four movies for promoting understanding the elderly after 2000 were chosen 1) The Notebook, 2) The Poetry, 3) Iris, 4) Lovely, Still. The effectiveness of class was caught by the discussion and self-evaluation with survey questionnaire. The results were shown; first, there were positive responses of the class with overall encourage of understanding the elderly. Second, students could have the opportunity of thinking about how to live in the old age. Third, students could have the opportunity to expect their old age and think of how to prepare the change in the old age. Lastly, they started to think their future and the elderly go together. These responses meant the change of their thoughts and understanding about the elderly, in other words, it showed the effectiveness of the new educational method.
