오늘날 실내공간 마감재 구성에 있어서 어떠한 재료를 선택하고 색상을 조화시킬 것인가에 대한 경향을 예측하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학생들이 인식하고 있는 실내디자인 이미지를 연상시키는 형용사 언어를 추출하고 물성표현하여 그 이미지와 색채를 유형화하고자 하는 것이다. 조사대상 학생은 B대학 실내디자인과 재학생 24명을 대상으로 다양한 실내디자인 샘플 재료 및 소재를 선택하여 형용사 이미지에 따른 꼴라쥬로 샘플보드를 표현하였다. 연구방법은 실내공간에서 컬러의 코디네이션과 트랜드에 대한 문헌연구, 형용사 이미지를 기술하고 물성을 구축하는 방식을 실내디자인재료 시간에 강의를 하고 표현하는 실험연구를 진행하고 사진으로 찍어서 포토샵에서 색채를 분석하였다. 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 형용사 언어에 대한 물성표현은 도시적이고 모던한, 행복하고 편안한, 화려하고 블링블링한, 그리고 내추럴하고 퓨어(pure)한 이미지로 유형화하였다. 각각 색상트렌드는 도시-모던에 흰색과 검정, 행복-편안함에 분홍, 보라, 파스텔톤 화려하고 블링블링에 화려한 빨강, 금색, 로얄블루, 오렌지색, 자연-퓨어 이미지에 흰색과 원색으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 형용사 이미지에 따른 물성표현과 색상매치는 계속해서 변화되고 재창조되고 있음을 알 수 있다.

Nowadays, it is very important to predict the trends of material selection and color match in Interior material finishing. The Purpose of this study is to investigate the types in material representation and color trend according to adjective image. The samples are the 24 B College students in Dept. of Interior Design. The research methods to achieve this purpose are review of literature about color coordination and trend in interior space, experimental study(actual representation according to lecture), photo and digital analysis. The Results of this research are as follows: The first, the types of material representation according to design adjective image are divided to 4 groups: Urban-Modern, Happy-Cozy, Brilliant-Bling Bling and Natural-Pure Image. The second, the color trend in material representation were analyzed with image filtering and color picking: black and white coloe in Urban-Modern, pink, violet and pastel tone color in Happy-Cozy, brilliant red, gold, royal blue, orange color in Brilliant-Bling Bling and white, primary color in Natural-Pure Image. As a results, it was founded that the types of material representation and color match are changed and recreated.
