유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅은 현재 정보통신 분야의 최대 관심사이며, 21 세기 새로운 IT 혁명으로 불리고 있다. 이미 일부에서는 실현되어 실생활에 쓰이고 있으며 현재 건설 분야 에서도 이런 IT 기술을 도입하여 물류관리, 자재관리, 노무관리 등의 영역에서 효율적인 정보의 활용성 방안에 관한 연구가 진행 중이다. 현재 일부 건설현장에서는 컴퓨터와 PDA의 활용이 이루어지고 있으며, 나아가 PMIS(Projecl Management Information System)의 활용을 통한 효율적인 건설정보관리를 시도하고 있다. 이처럼 건설정보 활용의 효율성을 높이기 위한 다양한 방안이 모색되고 있으며, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)를 건설정보 분야에 적용하기 위한 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 기존 연구들은 주요건설자재를 대상으로 개별자재 적용에 초점을 맞추어 자재위치파악과 건설물류 관리 등에 관한 연구가 진행되고 있을 뿐 건설프로젝트 전반에 걸쳐 이를 어떻게 적용할 지에 대한 고려는 부족한 편이다. 본 연구에서는 RFID 의 기술적 특성과 장점을 파악하고 현장의 건설정보관리프로세스를 분석하여 RFID 를 적용한 효율적 건설정보관리 기준체계를 만들고자 한다.

Nowadays Ubiquitous Computing is a great concern in the Information Technology field and it is called as a new IT revolution. Ubiquitous Computing is already applied in the part of real life. The research for utilization of efficient information using IT is studied in the field of administration of physical distribution, materials management, and labor management of construction. Computer and PDA are used in the construction field and many attempts are made for an efficient construction information management by utilization of PMIS(Project Management Information System). Especially, the research using RFID is in progress in the construction filed. However, related researches are only focused on the application of independent material among main construction material. The objective of this study is to understand the technological feature of RFID, analyze the process of construction information and suggest the systematization of efficient construction information management using RFID.
