웹 2.0에서 중요한 부문을 차지하고 있는 폭소노미(Folksonomy)는 사람에 의한 분류체계를 의미하는 신조어로써 기존 기계적이고 계증적인 문류 체계의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 강력한 대안으로 대두되고 있다. 블로그 사이트를 방문하다 보면 메인 페이지에 정보가 아닌 키워드 방식으로 분류가 수평적으로 나열된 페이지들을 볼 수 있는데 이러한 블로그들은 태그(Tag)에 의해 폭소노미 방식으로 분류된 것이다. 국내에서도 웹 2.0 에 변화 흐름에 발맞추어 태그 클라우드가 적용된 서비스들이 속속 출시하고 있으나 명확한 가이드라인 없이 적용되고 있어 정보 전달과 가독성 측면에서 효율성이 떨어지는 경우가 자주 발견되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한글 웹 환경에서 폭소노미 표현 방법에 따른 가독성을 중심으로 적용 사례를 분석하고 전문가 평가와 온라인설문을 통하여 한글 폭소노미의 효과적인 표현 방법에 관한 가이드라인을 제시 하고자 한다.

Folksonomy, which occupies a great portion of web 2.0, is to categorize the information of blog per related subject matter or keyword with the method of tagging. Unlike the categorization of the past administered by agent or database algorithm, it refers to the categorization system directly created by human. Blog services applied with Tag cloud is gradually increasing in Korea, many of them are only copying the examples of overseas sites without clear guidelines established. This results in frequent cases of lowered efficiency in terms of information delivery. Korean language, unlike English, is made up of composite structures. So, the complexity increases and aggravates when the tags (keyword or sentence) horizontally follow one after another. Therefore, this study aims to analyze application examples of Tag Cloud with focus placed on readability and notability in accordance with the expression method of Tag Cloud in web environment of Korean language and to suggest guidelines on effective expression methods of Korean Tag Cloud by administering online survey and evaluations by experts. The scope of this study excluded areas related to the color or arrangement of tags and focused on line spacing between tags, length of letter strings and spacing between letters.
