전세계적으로 무역 및 비즈니스의 중심인 전시회가 발달함에 따라 그 인프라 시설인 전시컨벤션센터가 국가 및 지역별로 곳곳이 생겨나고 있다. 그 지역의 랜드마크일 뿐 아니라 전시컨벤션센터는 전시회 등 국제적인 행사를 위한 목적형 시설로써 그 기능적인 점도 간과할 수 없다. 그래서, 이번 논문에서는 센터내 전시시설의 공간적인 요인들에 대해 전시시설을 주요 이용하는 전문가집단을 대상으로 중요한 요인에 대해 살펴보고 이들 전문가집단의 국내전시장 이용 경험을 바탕으로 성취도(만족도)에 대해 조사하였다. 더불어 이 데이터 결과를 중요도, 성취도를 X 축, Y 축으로 하는 매트릭스에 위치시켜서 각 요인들에 대한 국내전시장의 현황을 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 이 논문에서는 향후 전시컨벤션센터 건립 또는 추가 확장 시 전시시설에 대해 중점적으로 고려해야 하는 요인들을 제시하고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance and performance of exhibition hall in convention & exhibition centers in Korea. Recently, the exhibition center becomes more and more important infrastructure to encourage international trade and active business, furthermore the exhibition hall at the center is main functional space for the professional exhibition organizers and exhibition service contractors. In this study, exhibition space factors are examined by the interviews with professional group and analyzed with SPSS12.0 as frequency, descriptive and reliability analysis. The result shows on the importanceperformance matrix with the meaning of ‘possible overkill’, ‘low priority’, ‘concentrate here’ and ‘keep up the good work’. The study may influence the construction or expansion of convention & exhibition center considering the actual users` viewpoint.
