본 연구의 의의는 색채계획의 프로세스를 제안하고 그 프로세스에 따라 색채디자인 사례를 보여주고 있다는 것이다. 색채계획의 프로세스는 색채현황분석, 색채 팔레트, 국제기숙사의 디자인 컨셉에 맞는 색채 제안들로 구성되어 있다. 디자이너의 직관으로 색채를 선택하는 방법에서 보다 명확한 색채 선택 방법을 보여주고자 한다. 국제 기숙사의 다양한 국적 학생들의 거주자 아이덴티티 확립하기 위해 기초적 자료로 거주자의 특성을 파악하고 주거 공간의 주변환경을 조사한다. 색채는 문화적 환경을 반영하므로 새로운 국제기숙사의 색채 계획의 프로세스 제안은 새로운 색채 문화 컨셉을 제안 할 수 있다. 사용 가능한 실질적인 색을 주변의 환경과 기존의 지역문화적 색채에서 추출하고, 추출된 색채는 색채조화원리를 적용하고 공간에 사용할 수 있는 색채팔레트로 발전시킨다. 환경색채 시스템인 NCS 시스템으로 색을 제안하여 실용성을 강조한다.

This study is a meaningful research to propose the process of the space color planning and to show the example which is applied by the process. The space color planning constitutes the analysis of color condition, the color concept, color palette and the color proposal which is the result of the design concept for the international house. This Study Shows the way to choose the color with the logical process. It is more effective than the way that is chosen the color by designer`s intuition. This study is based on the research of the residents and the environment around international house in order to set up the identity of the resident. - They are multinational students in the international house. The color is a medium reflecting the culture. Therefore, the new process of the space color planning can propose the new culture concept. The coior palette is reviewed by the principles of color system, and it is developed for the space. The result is very practical because of the suggestion of NCS color system.
