디지털 컨버전스 시대를 맞이하여 매체 간 융합 현상이 가속화되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 융합 현상으로 인하여 제한된 인터페이스를 가진 모바일 폰은 다양한 행동 지원성이 요구되며 기능 또한 복잡해져 가고 있다. 모바일 미디어는 TV 와 컴뮤터와 같은 기존 미디어들의 커뮤니케이션 방식을 차용하고 동시에 모바일 미디어 환경에 적합한 커뮤니케이션 방식 및 상호작용을 만들어 가고 있다. 복잡해져 가는 휴대폰 기능과 서비스를 자연스럽게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 사용자 또는 인간 중심 인터페이스 디자인 연구가 필요하다. 연구의 목적은 디지털 컨버전스 모바일 폰 환경에서 친숙성을 고려한 인터페이스 연구이며 디지털 컨버전스 모바일 폰 환경에서 친숙성 요소 추출을 통한 개념 모델을 제시한다. 본 연구의 범위는 디지털 컨버전스 위성 DMB 를 중심이다. 또한 디지털 컨버전스 모바일 폰 환경에서의 친숙성 요소를 추출하기 위하여 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 사용자 니즈 및 이용행태 조사를 실시하였다.

As the age of digital convergence is coming up, merge among media is being accelerated. However, such a merge requires the mobile phones with limited interfaces to support diversifying behaviors, while their functions are being more and more complex. Mobile media tend to borrow the same communication modes as those for the conventional media such as TV or computer and at the same time, reflect the media attributes unique to mobile only to create new types of interactions and communication modes. Since mobile phone functions become more and more complex, it is deemed necessary to research into user- or men-centered interface designs allowing users to easily manipulate them to use diverse services. This study focuses on user interfaces for mobile phones in consideration of familiarity in the digital convergence environment, and particularly on the digital convergence satellite OMB services. To this end, relevant theories were reviewed and thereupon, users` needs for and uses of mobile phone services were surveyed.
