본 논문은 한국어 학습자들에게 한국 문학작품을 접하게 하여 문학작품이 가지고 있는 문학적 특성을 통해 상호 문화적 소통과 공감을 유도하기 위한 방안을 모색하고 이를 통해 학습자들의 문학작품 감상 능력향상과 감상문 작성 능력 향상을 유도하는 것이 주요 목적이다. 문학 작품 감상문 작성을 위해서는 우선적으로 작품을 읽어야 한다. 문학은 언어를 매개로 하는 다양한 문화현상 가운데 하나이기 때문에 작품의 감상은 의미 해석 차원을 포함해야 함은 물론 폭넓은 의미의 문화행위에 통합되어야 한다는 관점에서 한국어 문학교육의 효과를 극대화하기 위해 몇 가지 요건이 필요하다고 보았다. 첫째, 문학작품을 읽을 때, 읽기 자체의 심리적 부담을 줄여주어야 한다. 둘째, 한국 문학작품에 대한 친숙성과 자신감을 주어 목표언어와 모국어가 별개가 아니라 언어라는 큰 테두리 안에서 공존한다는 인식을 심어 주어야 한다. 이러한 요건들을 충족시키기 위해 본고에서는 재귀 번역 과정을 통한 문학 작품을 학습자에게 학습하였다. 여기에서 재귀 번역은 단순히 문학 작품을 학습자의 모국어로 재번역하는 과정이 아니고, 문학 작품을 통한 문화의 이해를 높이면서 재귀 번역과정에서 자연스럽게 난이도가 낮아진 텍스트로학습자의 학습 곤란도를 낮추어 문학 작품 독해 시 일어나는 여러 가지문제들을 해결하고, 더 많은 학습자들을 한국 문학 작품의 독자로 끌어들일 수 있는 교육적 장점이 큰 방법으로 채택하였다. 또한 이런 학습의 과정을 거친 문학 작품을 학습한 학습자들은 문학 작품 감상문 작성 능력 또한 향상됨을 확인하였다. 한국어 학습자들에게 한국 문학 작품을 접할 수 있는 기회를 더 많이 제공하고 이를 통해 학습자들의 감상 능력또한 증진 될 수 있기에 한국 문화 교육의 내실화를 기하는 효과를 가질수 있다. 이 논문은 그동안 한국어교육에서 절실한 필요성이 제기된 초급 학습자 대상의 문학교육 방안을 김춘수 <꽃>을 활용한 실제적 수업에서 확인하였고, 나아가 중·고급 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 문학 감상 능력을 증진할 수 있는 실제적인 방안을 모색하고 그 과정에서의 실제적인 수업결과물인 감상문을 통해 학습의 효과를 확인했다.

This study aims to find the approach to induce inter-cultural communication and sympathy through literary characteristics of literatures, bringing Korean literary works to Korean language learners. The author has investigated the teaching approach called Recurrent Translation to help the elementary and intermediate learners who have been relatively neglected in literature learning in the process. In the perspective that literature education should be integrated into extensive significance of cultural actions as well as include interpreting the meaning of the work since literature is one of varied cultural phenomena by the media of language, the author insists that some conditions need to be prepared to maximize the impact of Korean literature education; first, the psychological burden caused by reading itself should be mitigated in reading literatures; second, the recognition that the target language and the native language co-exist in a limitation of language rather are separated should be delivered to learners. The recurrent translation is not merely the re-translating process to the leaner`s mother tongue. It has an educational benefit to reduce difficulties of learners with the text which became far easier in the recurrent translation to attract more learners to be a Korean literature reader. With the recurrent translation, the more opportunities to meet Korean literatures for Korean language learners by lowering the level of linguistic and cultural difficulty led by the translation can ensure the stability of Korean literature education. This study has a primary significance in that it offers the measures of literature education for elementary learners, which have been acutely needed. Furthermore, it has a key role to seek the practical solutions to enhance the appreciation capability of literature for intermediate and advanced learners and demonstrate its effect.
