본 연구는 보다 실질적인 녹색산업을 반영할 수 있는 녹색기술 산업을 대상으로, 공급되는 재화나 서비스의 특성에 따라 신재생에너지사업과 탄소저감사업으로 유형화하여 각각의 입지 및 집적 특성을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 녹색산업이 산업유형에 따라 각각 다른 입지 및 집적 특성을 나타내는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 신재생에너지산업의 육성을 통해 상대적으로 저발전 된 지역의 발전과 균형발전을 도모할 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 기존의 산업기반이 양호한 지역을 중심으로 한 탄소저감산업의 육성이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 해당 지역의 환경과 지리적 여건, 발전 잠재력 등을 고려하여 선택과 집중을 통해 관련 정책 및 육성전략을 수립할 때, 비로소 녹색산업은 새로운 성장동력이 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study has focused on practical locational distribution and agglomeration characteristics, derived from produced goods and services of renewable energy industries and carbon reduction industries, which obviously include characteristics of the green technology industry. In the end, this study has proven that each categorization possesses different locational distribution and agglomeration characteristics according to each industries. In addition, it was positively confirmed that relatively underdeveloped areas may develop after all when fostering renewable energy industries in those areas, contributing the balanced development benefit to the public. In case of carbon reduction industries, it is more appropriate to foster them in more developed areas. Thereafter, it is concluded that green industries may become the true new growth engine for a certain area when it has adequately planned related policy measures and fostering strategies after the consideration of the locational environment, geographical conditions, development potentials, etc.
