지금까지의 도시 구조에 관한 연구는 주로 토지 이용계획과 같은 하드웨어적 요소를 중심으로 하였기 때문에 도시의 질적인 요소인 성별이나 근로자의 관점에서 연구는 미흡하다. 이에 본 연구는 후쿠오카도시의 미래변화를 도시의 인적, 질적 요소의 변화를 중심으로 연구하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 도시구조의 공간적 변화방향으로는 상업시설은 현재 집중되어 있는 상업시설들이 더욱 밀집될 것으로 예상된다. 후생복지시설은 비교적 생활시설들이 완비된 도시 중간지역을 중심으로 새로운 개발이 진행되고 또한 도심 중심지역은 기존의 건축물에 대한 재이용이 활발해질 것이다. 주택시설은 환경이 좋은 임대주택을 위주로 고령자용 임대주택으로의 기능이 전환되고 도시중심지의 임대주택들이 양로원시설이나 케어하우스시설 등으로 개보수될 전망이다. 성별에 따른 도시구조의 변화방향은 상업시설, 후생복지시설, 주택시설은 여성에 의하여 그리고 정보통신시설은 남성에 의하여 영향이 크다는 점을 알 수 있다. 상업시설에서는 여성전문 외식체인점의 증가로 인해 도심지역의 집중화현상을 촉진시킬 것이고 후생 복지시설에 있어서는 여성들에 의해 요구되는 생활시설들의 형성을 예상할 수 있다. 주택시설에 있어서는 도시중심부의 역 주변으로 방범배려형태의 공동임대주택, 공유하우스 등의 재개발 및 개보수현상이 다소 일어날 것이다. 정보통신시설에 있어서는 도시의 틈새지역을 중심으로 SOHO 형태의 소규모 개인 사업체 및 단독 작업실 등이 늘어나 도시구조의 효율성을 높여주는 고도로 기능화 된 도시구조가 예상된다.
Because of the research about the land use research, the research only concerns about hard quantitative element which is not enough in the urban structure, gender and labor as a soft qualitative element is increasing. Future changes of urban structure in Fukuoka city show more specific understandings and directions. The results are as follow. Direction of spatial change of urban structure: In the center of the city, the decentralization of facilities is formed with the formation of huge commercial area and functional extension of new information and communication facilities which happens in the center of Fukuoka City. Then, a phenomenon that the development of new welfare facilities go to middle of the city center area where living facilities are completely installed appears. In addition, co-rental housing for single people is increasing mainly in the west of the suburb near University. Direction of changes of urban structure according to gender: Living facility due to the needs of women formed around a facility welfare one side to promote the phenomenon of concentration of urban centers by an increase in chain restaurant, are distributed in the region: And, in the form of small-scale private office SOHO is increasing around the gap region of the city founded by the activation of the men in the field of information and communication.
