영상내러티브에 있어 프로덕션 디자인과 인물에 대한 상관관계를 중심으로 프로덕션 역할과 그것이 함축하는 의미를 분석한다. 영상 이미지 분석에 있어 과학적이고 객관적이라 말하는 바르트의 의미생성과 좀 더 구체적으로 의미적 구조 관계 분석을 하고자 그레마스의 행위소 모델과 사각형 의미구조 기호학을 활용한다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 프로덕션 디자인을 인물과 사건에 있어서의 상관관계, 그리고 내러티브에서 공간에 대한 외시의미와 함축의미로 분석하였다. 사례영상을 통해 분석한 결과, 프로덕션 디자인은 인물의 내면과 외면적 상태, 그리고 공간분리에 대한 신분적 계층구조, 그리고 이데올리기적 의미생성을 형성하는데 명시적 또는 암시적으로 정보를 노출시키는 시각적 복합 구조 관계로서 분석 되었다. 이처럼 영상에서 표현 되어지는 사물, 소품, 공간 등은 인물의 심리상태, 내러티브의 내용 변화 그리고 사회계층 구조에 따른 문제의식과 모순관계를 표면적 함축적 의미로써 메시지를 전달하고 있다. 이처럼 프로덕션 디자인은 내러티브 구성을 위한 시각적 상징과 은유를 창조하여 내러티브진행에 대한 극대함을 전해 주면서 표현의 독창성을 제시하여 준다. 그러므로 프로덕션 디자인은 등장하는 주요인물과 관계를 맺으면서 신호들을 이끌어 내고 그 수신된 신호는 인도 되고, 지연되면서 만족하거나 방해하거나 하는 특정한 기대를 만들어낸다. 이러한 상황들은 서로 인과관계를 만들어 내면서 주제를 파악하는데 중요한 역할을 한다.

The research analyzes the production role and the meaning it abstracts focusing on the correlations on the production design and the characters in terms of the image narrative. It utilizes Greimas` Actantial model and the square semantic structure semiotics to create the meaning of Barth who is known as most scientific and objective in analyzing a video image and analyze the semantic structure relationship more specifically. This study analyzed the production design in the aspect of correlation between characters and events, and explicit/implicit meanings of space in narratives. In the results of analyzing the case video, the production design was analyzed as a visual-complex structural relation that exposes information explicitly or implicitly to generate ideologic meanings, hierarch of status regarding spatial division and characters` internal and external condition. Therefore, production design draws out the signals by making relationships with the main characters, the received signals make certain expectation that satisfies or interrupts as the received signals are led by and delayed. relationship.
