전 국민을 대상으로 국가가 발행하는 특수한 상품인 화폐는, 주요한 공공 시각디자인 매체 중 하나이다. 화폐를 사용하는 ‘국민’에는 비장애인 사용자와 장애인 사용자 모두가 포함된다. 따라서 비장애인 사용자와 장애인 사용자 양자를 대상으로 하는 화폐디자인의 기능적 측면을 검토, 정리하고 새로운 디자인을 제시하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 비장애인 사용자와 장애인 사용자 양자가 동시에 만족할 수 있는 화폐디자인의 요소들을 논한다. 검토 과정에서 사용성과 접근성을 사용자의 편의를 분석하는 하나의 통합적인 틀로 적용한다. 또한, 해당 요소들이 반영된 화폐디자인 예시를 제안한다.

Banknote that formally issued by country is a special product for all people. It is one of the most important public visual design media. In this particular word `people`, both disabled and non-disabled are included. Therefore, functional aspects of banknote design targeting both disabled users and non-disabled users should be considered, organized and suggested as a new design. In this paper, I discuss the elements of the banknote design that both disabled users and non-disabled users can be satisfied at the same time. In the course of study, I use usability and accessibility as a single concept for applying integrated framework. And finally, I`ll provide the banknote design that some elements have been reflected.
