The purpose of this study is to be used as foundational research that provides plantar tactual perception information on the types of walk roads for the visually impaired through the experiment on two-point thresholds of their plantar. Regarding the study methods adopted, the theoretical research is centered on defining the concept of the visually impaired and tactual perception. And in the experimental research, the experimental model for the two point threshold is designed to conduct and analyze the perception experiment with the subjects of the acquired visually impaired, the congenital visually impaired, and those with normal eyes. According to the result of the experiment, in the perception experiment on plantar tactual perception`s two point threshold, it was possible to figure out the two point threshold as 21mm as having the experimental values of the three groups, the congenital group, the acquired group, and the normal eye group, as the criteria to find out the inter-stimulus interval. According to the result of comparing two point thresholds of the groups, there was no difference in terms of the visually impaired`s types of disability. However, the study found difference between the congenital visually impaired as 14mm and those with normal eyes as 21mm with their two point thresholds. And the perception experiment to compare them by sex did show there was no influence on sex. In the future, this study is to apply information on the types of walk roads for the visually impaired to a tactile display using plantar tactual perception.
