이 글은 창의성의 개념을 국어교육의 관점에서 재개념화하고, 이런 논의를 바탕으로 창의적 인재 양성을 지향하는 국어교육의 과제를 제시하고자 하였다. 대체로 창의성의 개발/계발이라는 논의는 우리 사회의 지배적 담론으로 작용하고 있는 보편적인 관념이나 일반화된 법칙에 대한 의문으로부터 출발한다고 말할 수 있다. 즉 ‘거꾸로 생각하기’, ‘역지사지(易地思之)’의 발상을 거쳐 새로운 발견에 이르는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 이 글에서는 ‘창의성’, ‘융(복)합’, ‘창의적 인재 양성’이라는 명제를 국어교육이라는 연결고리로 묶어서 검토하였다. 구체적으로는 창의성 교육으로서의 국어교육의 특성을 살피고, 융(복)합 교과로서의 국어 교과의 실상을 확인하였다. 예를 들면, 경제, 경영과 관련해서 국어 교과서에 실현되고 있는 교수-학습의 내용과 방법을 검토하여 그 지향점을 찾아보고자 했다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 창의적 인재 양성을 위한 국어교육의 역할과 과제를 구체화하여 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to re-conceptualize the concept of creativity in terms of Korean language education and to suggest future tasks of Korean language education which aim to cultivate creative talented person. In general, a matter of development of creativity arises from the doubts about the universal idea or generalized law which is accepted as a dominant discourse of our society. In other words, it is like a new discovery through thinking the other way around and considering for the other situation. This study focuses on the propositions of ‘creativity’, ‘convergence’, and ‘cultivating creative talented person’ combined with Korean language education. To be concrete, it has studied the characteristics of Korean language education as a creativity education, and checked the real state of Korean language education as a convergence subject. For example, in connection with the economy and the management, this study reviews the contents and methods of teaching-learning which are being used in Korean language textbooks. Based on that, this study also presents the specified roles and future tasks of Korean language education for cultivating creative talented person.
