2011고시교육과정에서 중학교와 고등학교의 교육목표는 여러 종류의 학습을 종합적으로 이해하고 창의적 사고를 길러 세계와 소통하는 시민으로서의 자질과 태도를 갖도록 지도하는데 초점을 맞춘다. 이런 교육목표를 달성하는데 연극수업은 매우 적합하다. 창의적 사고와 비판적 사고를 배양하면서 다양한 문화적 가치를 수요하는 수업에 연극을 활용하는 것은 아주 적절한 것이다. 연극이 종합예술이기 때문에 그러하다. 연극은 서사와 서정의 특성을 종합하고 있기 때문에 이를 수업에 활용하는 것은 적절한 일이 된다. 이를 위해 연극이 교육에 얼마나 효율적인 면을 보여주는가를 살폈고 수업에 활용하는 방법을 위한 실질적 방법을 제시하였다. 수업 적용과정은 설정단계-토의단계-발표단계-판단단계를 거치는 것이 효과적임을 보였다. 그리고 구성주의적 사고가 교육연극과 어떻게 맞물리며 이런 것이 종합적 학습능력을 배양하는데 어떻게 유용한가도 살폈다. 그리고 각색을 통해 희곡과 연극을 이해하고 나아가 국어교육 전반 그리고 종합적 학습능력을 통해 창의적이고 비판적인 사고를 함양하는 방법에 대해 알아보았다.

The goal of 2011 Korean Education Curriculum is a synthetic understanding of various kinds of learning and creative thinking that brought the world to communicate the qualities and attitudes of citizens. Education Drama`s goal is well-suited for teaching. Creative thinking, critical thinking and cultural values demand a variety of cultures and classes to take advantage of the play. However, the play is a narrative and lyrical, and the characteristics of the class because it is the proper thing to utilize. And through the adaptation and further understanding of drama and theater in general and bilingual education through a comprehensive learning how to foster creative and critical thinking have been talking about.
