본 연구에서는 초등 문법 교육 관련 연구가 전반적으로 어떻게 진행되어 왔으며 또 그 연구 방법상의 특징은 무엇인지를 관련 논문 분석을 통해 알아보았다. 학술지에 수록된 초등 문법 교육 연구물 총 75편을 선정하여 연구 주제와 연구 방법상의 경향을 분석한 결과, ``교육 내용``에 대한 연구가 31편(38.75%), ``교수 방법``에 대한 연구가 29편(36.25%)으로 많았고 이어 ``목표 및 방향``에 대한 논의가 11편(13.75%)로 뒤를 이었으며, ``평가`` 관련 연구는 2편으로 가장 적었다. 초등 문법 교육 연구의 연구 방법은 문헌 연구가 66편(88%)으로 압도적 다수를 차지하고 있었으며, 양적·질적 연구 방법을 사용한 경우는 9편(12%)에 불과하였다. 이를 바탕으로 지금까지 이루어진 초등 문법 교육 연구를 재인식하고, 경험적 관찰 및 면담을 주된 기법으로 삼는 일차적 연구 방법으로의 전환을 통해 초등 문법 교육 연구의 발전적 방향을 모색해야 한다는 결론을 내렸다.

This study analyzes research methods trends in Korean grammar education for elementary students. For this purpose, total 75 articles were selected from the 6 Korean academic journals published in the Korean grammar education for elementary students. The results of this study are as follows. First, in content and subject sampling, ``content`` and ``method`` were most frequently studied. Second, secondary research design -library research and literature reviews- were the most frequently applied research design and type. For the development of field of Korean grammar education for elementary students, research design should be changed into primary research design.
