본 연구에서는 우리의 학교폭력 실상과 기존의 학교폭력 예방과 대처의 내용을 살펴보고 이를 평가한 후, 최근 소개되어 연구되고 있는 긍정심리학의 관점과 내용을 토대로 긍정심리학에 기반한 학교폭력 예방과 대처의 방향과 과제를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 학교폭력 예방 및 대처의 방향으로 첫째, 소수 문제 초점 학교폭력 대처에서 모든 학생의 심리적 안녕, 행복, 성장을 지향하는 적극적·긍정적 방향 둘째, 개인적 차원의 개입에서 건강한 관계 및 공동체 형성을 지향하는 방향이 제시되었다. 또한 학교폭력 예방과 대처를 위한 과제로 첫째, 학교폭력에 대한 조기 예방교육과 예방적 중재의 강화, 둘째, 학교폭력 관련 학생들의 특성과 문제와 집단과정으로서의 학교폭력에 대한 심층적 이해에 기반한 학교폭력 예방과 대처 방안 구축, 셋째, 교사의 학교스트레스 감소와 심리적 안녕감 및 전문성 증진을 위한 개입 강화, 넷째, 교사의 교육적 주도성과 학교 공동체 형성 강화 등이 제안되었다. 이는 학교폭력의 효과적 예방 및 대처뿐만 아니라 이에서 더 나아가 학생들의 안녕과 행복과 성취를 증진하기 위한 방향과 과제가 될 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate and suggest directions and assignments for prevention and countermeasure of school violence based on positive psychology. For this purpose, real state of school violence, existing prevention and countermeasure of school violence, evaluation of existing prevention and countermeasure were examined. Based on the perspectives and contents of positive psychology which has been started to study recently, the suggested implications for directions and assignments for prevention and countermeasure of school violence are as follows; In connection with the directions for prevention and countermeasure of school violence, first, it was suggested that an ex post facto problem-focused and punishment-focused approaches centered a small number of students related to school violence directly should be changed to strength based positive approaches facilitating all students` whole development, happiness and well-being. Secend, it was suggested that healthy relationship and community spirit beyond personal problem solving should be facilitated. In connection with the assignments for prevention and countermeasure of school violence, the enhancement of early prevention education and preventive intervention on school violence, prevention and countermeasure program development on the base of in-depth understanding on school violence, enhancing teachers` psychological wellbeing and professional competency and decreasing their stress, and enhancing teachers` educational initiative and school community formation were discussed.
