In order to conduct industry-academic collaboration, universities must secure and train professional managers, and establish evaluation and feedback process to optimize its effectiveness. Factors to be considered to measure and monitor managers` activities are information gathering capability, networking, communication, public relations, enterprise support, matching of seeds and needs, co-research, and application of technology. In addition, scientific-technical outcome, economic outcome, and social-spreading effects can be thought as evaluation factors to promote effectiveness and efficiency of the outcomes. The focus of this paper is the application of the performance evaluation model on the industry-academic collaboration managers.
