지역사회중심 훈련프로그램은 장애학생이 성공적인 직업적응을 하는데 필요한 관련기술을 효과적으로 가르치는 방법 중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 지적 장애학생들에게 지역사회중심 훈련프로그램을 적용하여 지적 장애학생들의 도서관 사서보조원 직무기술 중의 하나인 도서관 잡지등록 및 서가진열기술의 습득과 유지에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 고등학교 특수학급에 속해있는 지적 장애학생 세 명을 대상으로 지역사회중심 훈련프로그램을 적용하였으며, 그 효과는 대상자간 중다간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하여 검증하였다. 목표행동인 도서관 잡지등록 및 서가진열기술은 지역사회 대학교의 도서관에서 실제로 필요한 기술로 선정하였으며, 대상학생들이 예비 사서보조원으로서 실제 생활 맥락 속에서 습득하고 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 지역사회중심 훈련프로그램은 대상학생과 지역사회 환경에 대한 생태학적 관찰과 과제분석을 바탕으로 구성되었으며, 교수 기법은 지역사회중심 교수패키지로 구성하였는데 직접교수, 비디오 모델링, 최소촉진법, 시간 지연법, 자기 점검, 토큰 강화 등이 포함되었다. 본 연구의 결과로서 대상학생 세 명의 도서관 잡지등록 및 서가진열기술이 모두 향상된 것으로 나타났으며, 습득된 기술은 중재가 종료된 후에도 유지되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 지적 장애학생을 위한 지역사회중심 훈련관점에서 논의되었으며, 본 연구의 훈련프로그램과 결과는 특수교육현장에서 지역사회중심 훈련프로그램을 구성하고 실행하는데 필요한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study investigated the effects of the community-based training program on librarian aide work skills in an university library for students with intellectual disabilities. The participant were three high school students with intellectual disabilities who were enrolled in a special education classroom of a general high school. The community-based training program was conducted in the periodicals section of an university library as well as in an office located in the library. The multiple-baseline design across participants was used to examine the effectiveness of the training program. Target behaviors were the work skills of librarian aides in an university library, which were book registration and display skills. The community-based training program used a package of instructional strategies such as direct instruction, task analysis, video modeling, prompting, self-checklist, token reinforcement, etc. The results of the study indicated that all three participants learned the book registration and display skills and the newly acquired skills were successfully maintained. The results of the study were discussed in the perspectives of transition education and vocational education for students with intellectual disabilities.
