본 연구는 탄력성과 고통지각이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 지지와 의도적 반추의 매개효과를 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전국의 대학생 761명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하고, 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 탄력성과 고통 지각이 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 데 있어서 사회적 지지와 의도적 반추의 부분 매개모형인 가설모형이 완전매개 모형인 경쟁모형에 비해 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 가설모형에 나타난 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 탄력성은 외상 후 성장에 직접적으로 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라, 의도적 반추를 매개하여 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 고통 지각은 의도적 반추를 매개해서 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 고통 지각이 사회적 지지와 의도적 반추를 연속적으로 매개해서 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 면에서는 고통 지각이 사회적 지지에 부적 영향을 주지만, 사회적 지지는 의도적 반추에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 고통 지각은 사회적 지지를 매개해서 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 구체적인 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 탄력성, 고통 지각, 사회적지지, 의도적 반추는 외상 후 성장 총 변량의 35%를 설명하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 후속연구를 위한 제언들을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the mediating effect of social support and deliberate rumination in the influence of resilience and distress perception on posttraumatic growth. Data was collected from 761 college students nationwide who participated in various questionnaires. The results were analyzed and interpreted using structural equation modeling. The results indicated that a hypothesized model produced a better fit to the data than a comparative structural model. The hypothesized model shows the following results: First, we found that resilience affected posttraumatic growth but achieved this through deliberate rumination. Second, distress perception also affected posttraumatic growth through deliberate rumination. Third, there was no mediating effect from social support on the relationship between distress perception and deliberate rumination. Fourth, distress perception affected posttraumatic growth through social support. In the model that was finally selected, resilience, distress perception, deliberate rumination, and social support were able to explain 35% of posttraumatic growth. Limitations of current study and suggestions for future investigations are included in the discussion.
