시에 나타나는 몸의 공간적 양상은 시인의 경험에 의해서 재구성된 ‘재현공간’이지만 그 속에는 감각적 지각과 함께 사회적 의미가 개입되어 있다. 특히 송욱은 당대 사회적 상황을 몸을 통해 풍자하고 있는 시인이라는 점에서 몸에 대한 공간적 연구의 필요성이 있다고 생각된다. 그래서 이 논문은송욱 시에 나타나는 몸의 양상을 공간 이론을 적용하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 첫째, 송욱 시에서 정지된 몸으로 공간화된 양상은 1950년대 당대우리 민족의 처절한 실존적 상태를 의미화한 것이다. 이것이 시에서는 타자에 의해 억압되어 통제당하거나 지각되지 않는 죽은 몸으로 구체화된다. 이러한 것의 원인은 역사적 실존을 만들어나가는 주체들에게 있으며, 그로 인해 개인과 민족의 실존적 상황마저 절망으로 몰아넣었다는 것을 보여준다. 또한 이것은 역사적 실존을 혼란으로 몰아넣은 주체들에 대한 송욱의 비판의식으로, 몸의 부정을 통해 세계부정을 나타내려고 한 것이다. 당대 우리민족의 처절한 실존을 몸의 정지 상태로 공간화한 것이다. 둘째, 송욱 시에서 춤으로 표상되어 있는 공간은 현실불안을 인식하고,이를 분출하거나 해소하는 심리적 정화의 의미를 갖는다. 이러한 심리적 정화는 타의에 의해 발생된 문제를 해결하기 위한 것인데, 이는 현실문제들을스스로 해결할 수 없는 개인의 한계를 드러낸 것이다. 때문에 춤추는 몸은스스로 현실을 깨우는 몸, 즉 일시적으로나마 현실불만을 해소해야만 하는몸부림으로서의 깨어나는 몸이다. 전쟁 직후의 처참한 현실불안과 실존적죽음을 떨쳐버리려는 심리적 방어 기제를 춤추는 몸의 움직임으로 공간화한것이다. 셋째, 송욱 시에서 능동적으로 움직이는 몸은 건강한 역사적 실존을 회복하려는 의미를 갖는다. 나선형의 양상으로 움직이는 몸은 역사적 실존의 회복을 방해하는 타자들을 극복하려는 의지로 나타나지만 곧 역사적 상황의제약으로 말미암아 좌절의 양상으로 귀결된다. 이러한 현실회복의 불가능성은 우주적 질서를 전복하여 세계를 바로 잡으려는 의지로도 변주되지만 이또한 좌절되는 양상으로 나타난다. 당대 사회의 회복불능의 상태를 나선형양상으로 움직이는 몸으로 공간화한 것이다. 송욱 시에서 보여주는 몸의 공간적 양상은 1950년대와 1960년대의 우리현실이 얼마나 암울했는가를 보여주는 지표이다. 민족적 현실을 위기로 몰아넣은 역사적 주체와 왜곡된 이데올로기에 대한 비판인 동시에 구성원의한 사람으로서 시대적 실존을 반성적으로 성찰한 기록이다.

The spatial aspect of body expressed in a poem is the ‘RepresentationalSpace’ which is reconstituted by a poet`s experience, in which a social meaningis involved, together with a sensational perception. Particularly, there is a needto do research on body from the viewpoint of the space in that Song Wookis the poet who substituted a mother tongue for body. Accordingly, this paperlooked into the spatial aspect of body expressed in Song Wook`s poem byapplying body discourses. First, the spatial aspect of body at a standstill in the poem signifies ourpeople`s existential condition of the day. This is materialized as body whichis suppressed and controlled by others. The cause of this lies in the negativemain agents which weave the historical existence, consequently, showing thateven the existential circumstances of an individual and a nation were hopeless. In a word, Song Wook`s bodily standstill represents his criticism and negativeawareness of the main agents who make up the historical existence, intendingto switch reality to affirmation through the negation of body. Second, the space represented as dancing body in his poem has a meaningof psychological purification, through which the poet perceives reality anxiety,and spouts or resolves it. Such a psychological purification is not by one`s ownwill but by others` will, showing the limit of an individual who cannot dealwith reality. Therefore, body is the consciousness as struggling of having todissolve reality dissatisfaction temporarily though rather than the consciousnessof trying to surmount pre/post realities of life for oneself. Third, the actively moving body in Song Wook`s poem seems to be the willto restore the healthy historical existence. The body moving ahead in a spiralaspect represents the will to tide over others which obstruct restoration ofhistorical existence, however, taking on an aspect of frustration in no time. In other words, the spiral body spatialized the unrecoverable condition ofsociety at that time. The bodily spatial aspect presented in Song Wook`s poem plays a role as an index showing how dismal our reality was in the 1950s & 1960s. The poetcriticized the people and nation that drove the historical existence into a crisisand also introspected the existence of the times reflectively as a person ofsociety members.
