The paper studies the place, shown in ``Nongmu`` of Shin, Gyeong-rim`s poetical works. The poet, Shin, Gyeong-rim, suggested the life and emotionof the day by describing the situation of 1960-70, when rural community wasdissolved and people were isolated by rapid industrialization and urbanization,with descriptive structure in his early poetry, ``Nong-mu``. Most of works in ``Nong-mu`` deal with life of people, isolated byindustrialization. It describes the dissolution of rural communities and lives ofisolated and dilapidated farmers during period of industrialization and alsoshowed the reality of farmers, who should lead hard lives even though theyescaped from a farm village. It reflects the reality where the public, havinglived within peaceful rural communities and kept their own equilibrium in it,lost their senses of place by rapid changes in societies and suffered. Meanwhile, the public, isolated by industrialization, tried to let out theirpent-up anger of being unrooted, share their pains and affirm their identities. It means that it was not just restricted to a person but to the whole country. ``Nong-mu`` of Shin, Gyeong-rim suggests painful reality of isolated people andefforts of the public, sharing their pains with others as a way of coping withthe reality and trying to affirm their own identities.
