本稿の目的は、(i)限定を表す副助詞の上接語句の文法化の樣相を通時的及 び共時的アプロ-チで明らかにすること、(ii)これまで指摘されたことのない 現象を取り上げることによって、今後の文法化硏究に貢憲すること、(iii)日本 語と韓國語の副助詞の文法化における共通点を見出し、言語類型論的觀点か ら考察することである。管見の限りにおいて、今まで上記のような觀点から 行われた硏究はない。 本稿の主張をまとめると以下の通りである。

The purpose of this paper is three-fold: (i) To clarify aspects of grammaticalization of delimiters(henceforth, adverbial particles) in Japanese and Korean through both diachronic and synchronic approaches. (ii) To make a contribution to the future study of grammaticalization by dealing with some phenomena which has never been observed in the previous studies. (iii) To consider typologically some similarities of adverbial particles between Japanese and Korean. The arguments of this study are as followed: (a) Grammaticalization processes of the upper contact phrases of adverbial particles in Japanese are as below: major categories(nouns, verbs) > intermediate degrees(adjectives, adverbs) > minor categories(primary or secondary postpositions, etc.) (b) The above-mentioned processes are quite similar to the grammaticalization processes of adverbial particles themselves shown as below: major categories(nouns, verbs) > intermediate degrees(adjectives, adverbs) > minor categories(postpositions, etc.) (c) The above Japanese grammaticalization processes are quite similar to grammaticalization processes of Korean adverbial particles.
