타인의 그림에 긴 문장(塡詞) 또는 짧은 시문(畵贊, 發句)을 쓰거나 이름이 등재되는 경우를 천착함으로써 에도말기 문학계에 미친 가쿠테의 역할을 확인 하고자 하였다. 먼저 우키요에 「芋食僧正魚說法」, 「猛虎之寫眞」, 「妙醫甲 斐德本麻疹之來記」, 「英名二十八衆句·天日坊法策」에 있어서 각각의 그림에 대응하는 긴 문장(塡詞)의 집필자로서의 활약이라든지, 나아가 우키요에「國 芳·芳盛合作藍摺」에서는 초상화와 더불어 畵贊者의 한사람으로 참가하고, 헤 이테 긴케글의 人情本『조蔓戀之花菱』 본문 모두부에 열거되는 에도문인들 중 한 사람임과 동시에 해당 서적의 출판을 축하하는 11수의 운문 작가 중 한 사람이라는 점에서, 당시 희작 문단에 있어서의 가쿠테의 위치를 짐작하였다. 한편, 가쿠테는 타인의 작품의 서문집필자로서도 활동한다. 로분글의 滑稽本 『滑稽富士詣』4편서문, 바이테 긴가글의 滑稽本『妙竹林話七偏人』4편서문, 바이테 긴가글의 人情本『春宵風見種』초편서문, 요시모리그림의 화보『草 木畵譜』·『人物畵譜』서문을 담당하며, 그 서문으로부터 초대가쿠테의 사망 시기, 작자와 서문집필자와의 친밀한 교우관계, 해당 작품의 간행시기 추정을 위한 근거를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 로분이 주최하는 서화회의 摺物「書畵小 集」, 이치오사이 구니치카가 주최하는 「書畵會筵の摺物」에 가쿠테와 함께 등재되는 인물들에 의해 교우범위 및 見立番附『歲盛記』「저술가」部,「伊 呂波たとへ見立評判」에 등재되는 희작자·화가·다유·배우등과 함께 나열되는 가쿠테의 이름에 의해, 지금은 비록 잊혀졌으나, 에도말기 대중문예문단에 끼친 가쿠테의 역할은 적지 않았음을 살펴본 바이다.

Gakutei writes preface in the work of another person. Gakutei was in charge of preface of Robun`s "KokkeiHuziMoude", BaiteiKinga`s "SitiHenzin", "KazamiGusa", and picture book of Yosimori`s work. In addition, I lectured that Gakutei`s friend range through the all of a person placed with Gakutei in"SyogaSyosyu"(it is"Surimono"), "MusironoSurimono", "Saiseiki"(it is "MitateBanzuke")etc and also his role in the world of the Japanese literature at the mid－19th century were big things.
