이 글에서는 18세기 후반~19세기 초반 편찬된 가집인 『동국가사』 의 ‘우조 삭엽’과 ‘계면조’의 의미를 밝히고 이를 바탕으로 이 가집의 가치를 조명하고자 하였다. 『동국가사』 의 명칭은 일반적인 가집과 비슷하다. 대부분의 가집들이 ‘영언’(『청구영언』 등), ‘가요’(『해동가요』 등), ‘가곡’(『가곡원류』) 등과 같은 명칭을 사용해 그 책이 노래와 연관된 것임을 분명히 나타낸 것과 같이 『동국가사』 또한 ‘가사’라는 명칭을 붙여 노래책임을 분명히 나타내고 있다. 그러나 구성에 있어서는 독특한 면모를 지니고 있다. 이 보다 앞선 시기인 18세기 중반 가집인 『해아수』 는 초중대엽, 이중대엽, 삼중대엽, 북전, 삭대엽, 만횡청류 등 6개 악곡만 나타나고 있어 기존의 가집들과 차별성을 두고 있다. 이와 마찬가지로 우조와 계면조로 악조가 두 개로 고정화 현상이 나타난 후 가집의 악곡은 더 세분화 되었는데 『동국가 』 초중대엽, 이중대엽, 삼중대엽, 우조 초삭엽, 우조 삭엽, 소용(반엽 포함), 계면조, 낙시조 등 9개 악곡만 나타나고 있어 동시기의 가집과는 다른 모습을 갖고 있다. 이 글에서 가장 중요하게 다룬 이 가집의 특징은 ‘우조 삭엽’과 ‘계면조’인데 이 부분은 ‘삭대엽’ 계열의 악곡으로 이 악곡들은 후대 가집에 ‘두거’, ‘평거’, ‘중거’ 등 ‘이삭대엽’의 파생곡으로 나타나는 바 『동국가사』 는 파생되기 바로 전의 모습을 담고 있는 가집임을 이것을 통해 파악하였다. 이렇듯 『동국가사』 는 기존의 가집과는 다른 형태의 가집편찬을 보이며 ‘삭대엽’ 계열악곡이 파생악곡으로 정착되기 바로 전의 모습을 나타내고 있는 독특한 가집이라고 할 수 있다.

This study discovered meaning of Donggukgasa`s ujo sakyeop and gyemyunjo and value of this anthology based on this meaning. Name of Donggukgasa was similar with other regular anthologies. Most of anthologies exactly showed that those were related with songs by using following name ‘Yeongeon’(CheongguYeongeon etc.), Gayo(Haedonggayo etc), Gagok (Gagokwonryu) etc, likely, Donggukgasa also showed that it was anthology. However, Donggukgasa`s composition had special aspect. Haeasoo, anthology from more early time middle 18th century, showed six akgok such as chojoongdaeyeop, yijoongdaeyeop, samjoongdaeyeop, bookjeon, sakdaeyeop, manhoingcheongryu, and had difference from other existing anthologies. Liikewise, after standizing two tones(ujo and gyemyeonjo) anthology`s akgok was more subdivided, and nine akgoks of donggukgasa(chojoongdaeyeop, yijoongdaeyop, samjoongdaeyeop, ujo chosakyeop, ujo, sakyeop, soyong(including banyeop), gyemyeonjo, naksijo etc) was different shape from other anthologies in same time. Character of this anthology importantly studied in this study was ujo sakyeop and gyeemyeonjo, this part was akgok in sakdaeyeop`s series. These akgoks were presented as derived version of yisakdaeyeop(doogeor, pyeonggeor, joonggeor etc) in later anthologies, from this fact, donggookgasa ws figured out as anthology having shape before derivation. Donggookgasa showed different form for compiling anthology from existing form, was special anthology having akgok in sakdaeyeop`s series that presented sshape before settlement to derived akgok.
