이 연구는 2009교육과정에 따라 개발된 국어 교과서의 듣기. 말하기 영역을 중심으로 교과서 개발 과정에서 부각되는 주요 쟁점과 과제에 대하여 살펴 보았다. 이 연구에서 논의한 주요 내용은 학년군별 듣기. 말하기 영역 내용 성취 기준의 특성, 듣기. 말하기 내용 성취 기준의 교과서 반영, 타 영역과 영 역 내 통합 방식, 듣기. 말하기 학습의 성격, 담화의 수준과 범위, 듣기. 말하기 맥락의 반영, 학습 지도 자료 개발의 문제이다. 이러한 문제들은 교과서 개 발 이전 연구의 부재에서 비롯되기도 하고, 교과서 개발 단계에서 선택의 결 과이기도 하다. 또 수업에서 교과서를 활용할 때 극복할 수 있는 문제도 있다. 국어교육 공동체 모두가 만족하는 국어 교과서를 개발하기는 어렵지만, 교과 서 중심으로 실행되는 현장 국어 수업을 고려하면 보다 나은 교과서를 개발하기 위한 노력을 소홀히 할 수는 없다. 이를 위해서는 교과서 개발 시 부각되는 현안에 대한 최선의 선택과 아울러 향후 교과서 개발 과정에서 예상되는 주요 과제에 대한 연구를 통해 진화하는 국어 교과서가 개발되어야 할 것이다.

This research was to argued issue and future task of Korean language textbook development in elementary school. The main issues discussed in this study are as follows：1) Characteristics of listening and speaking achievement standards for grade group, 2) listening and speaking achievement standard textbooks reflect, 3) other regions and areas within the integrated approach, 4) listening and speaking nature of learning, 5) level and range of discourse, 6) reflect the context of listening and speaking, 7) instructional material development. Korean language education community is satisfied that it is difficult to develop both language textbook. But we can not neglect the effort to develop a better textbook. To do this, the best choice for the issues that emerged from the textbook development process as well as korean language textbooks should be developed through the study about the main challenges to be expected in the future textbook development process.
