현재 국어과의 각 교과목은 한문학 작품을 적지 않게 수록하고 있어, 한문학을 이 해하면, 교과의 내용을 보다 쉽게 습득할 수 있다. 동아시아 문화의 저변에 깔려 있 는 한자문화와 한문학은 동아시아 각국의 역사적 相同性의 공분모며 한문학은 동 아시아 고전의 시원이자 역사적 공감대를 형성하는 지렛대다. 이 점에서 고전의 영 토 안에서 서로 넘나들었던 국문문학과 한문학의 경험을 국어 교과안으로 수용하는 것은 새로운 동아시아 질서의 구축에 대응하는 한 방안이다. 이를 위해 국어과와 한 문과의 교섭과 통합의 가능성을 제기할 수 있는 바, 이는 국어교육의 수월성과 목표 에 부합하는 것이기도 하다. 무엇보다 지금처럼 중등학교에서의 한문교육의 방기와 무관심은 국어교육의 질적 저하를 초래한다는 점에서 국어과와 한문과의 만남과 그 방법을 고민해야 한다.

When reviewing the current Korean language textbooks, it is easily found that a lot of literary works written in Chinese characters(hence after: Sino-Korean literary works) are contained as the subject content in these textbook. Thus, if students can understand Sino-Korean literary works, it is expected that they can learn the subject content more easily and effectively. The culture formed by the basis of Chinese characters and the literary works written in Chinese characters are historical common denominators of each country in East Asia. Thus, these literary works are regarded as the origin of the classics in East Asia and they may work a lever to form a historical consensus in each country in East Asia. In this regard, it may be a new plan to construct a order in East Asia that as the literary works written in Chinese characters as well as those written in Korean are included in the subject content in the textbook. In order to complete this new plan, it is necessary to attempt to negotiate and unify between the subject of Korean language and literature and the subject of Chinese classics, and this negotiation and unification correspond to the goal of the Korean language and literature education. Before anything else, what Chinese classic education is ignored in the subject of secondary education recently causes to decline in quality of Korean language and literature education. Thus, it is necessary to attempt to find a new plan to balance between the subject of Korean language and literature and the subject of Chinese classics.
