This study aim to extract the connective adverbs list for Korean language learners for academic purpose and describe the usage of these connective adverbs by using KNU academic corpus and Sejong written corpus. For the high keyness connective adverbs list extraction, it was utilized WordSmith Tool 6.0 which compared the target corpus(KNU) and the reference corpus(Sejong). There are not only high frequence but also high keyness adverbs are ‘ kulayse, kulemulo, taman, ttalase, tto’ etc. Especially, high keyness adverbs in academic prose are ‘ tewuki, sowi, yeykhentay’, high frequency adverbs are ‘ kulena, kulentey, kulehtamyen’. Among the connective adverbs list for academic purpose Korean learners, ‘ cuk’ have the highest keyness, especially ‘ ilunpa’ and ‘ sowi’ are used highly in the academic prose. ‘ Hanphyen’ and ‘ taman’ are used 9 times in academic prose than other written prose. It is noting that ‘waynyahamyen’ is used only the pattern ‘predicate + ki ttaymwunita’. It is widely known that ‘ kulem’ is used mainly in the spoken language. That, however, is used for the introduction or switch the topic in the academic prose.
