본 연구의 목적은 국내 프로야구 경기 관람요인과 재관람의도의 관계에 있어서 관람만족의 매개형태를 규명함으로써 기존의 스포츠팬층의 유지 및 신규 관람객의 지속적 확보를 위한 마케팅전략의 수립에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 연구 대상은 서울과 인천지역 2곳의 프로야구장을 찾은 2009년 프로야구 관람자들을 모집단으로 선정하여 비확률 표본추출법 (non-probability sampling)중 편의표본추출법(convenience sampling method)을 이용하여 총 350부를 배부하여 341(97.4%)부를 표집 하였다. 이들 중 질문문항의 일괄적인 처리 혹은 무응답으로 인하여 신뢰성이 떨어진다고 판단되는 5부의 설문지를 제외 하고 총 336부의 응답을 본 연구에서 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN Version 15.0과 AMOS 7.0프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석(frequency analysis), 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analyses), 상관관계분석(Pearson``s correlation analysis), 구 조방정식 모형분석(SEM)을 실시하였다. 이상과 같은 연구방법 및 절차를 통하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 관람요인 과 재관람의도 간의 관계에서 관람만족의 완전매개모델이 부분매개모델보다 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 관람요인은 관 람만족에 정(+)적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 관람만족은 재관람의도에 정(+)적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 프로 야구와 같은 관람스포츠에 있어서 관중들의 재관람의도를 유도하기 위해서는 경기력뿐만 아니라 경기외적인 요소들에 대한 관중들의 심리적인 욕구를 보다 세부적으로 파악하고, 이를 토대로 관람요인에 대한 현명한 투자를 통해 관중들의 관람만족을 이끌어 내는 노력이 선행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of spectator satisfaction in the relation between professional baseball fans`` spectator factors and revisit intention. A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed and 341(97.4%) questionnaires were collected through a stratified sampling method from three professional baseball stadiums in the Seoul metropolitan area. After excluding responses with excessive missing data, 366 questionnaires were included in this study. Several statistical analyses including a descriptive, confirmatory factor analysis, Pearson``s correlation, and structural equation modeling(SEM) analysis were conducted to achieve the purpose of the present study. Result of the present study revealed that the fully mediated model was selected as a better fitted model compared to the partially mediated model. Lastly, this study discussed the results and provided practical implications.
