Christianity came down from the Tang Dynasty to Qing Dynasty in China. The introduction of Christianity brought great social and cultural changes. This thesis analyzed the works of modern Chinese poets related to Christianity and studied for the idea and culture of Christianity in modern Chinese poetry. Especially, it revealed the consciousness for social enlightenment, repentance, revolution of modern intellectuals through worship of God and artistic expressions for Jesus`` death in the works of Bingxin(氷心), Chenmengjia(陳夢家), Xuzhimo(徐志摩), Aiqing(艾靑), Luxun(魯迅). In conclusion, it became the opportunity to understand the meaning and form of modern Chinese poems newly and consider the role of Christianity in modern China by the analysis of the Christian identity of Chinese poetry.
