The Literature in the 1960`s and the Memory of the Korean War

This study is focusing on the effect of the Korean War(6·25) in Literature in the 1960``s. In novels of the April Generations in the 1960``s, the Korean War is concerned with the signification of their novels. That means that the Korean War was not background or element of representation of their novels, but one of the dominant determinant of their novel``s identity. That isn``t limited to novel``s contents. The point is, through it the Korean War is concerned with the formation of subjectivity of the April Generation as a subject of writing. According to the logic of Psychoanalysis, symptom precedes the cause and construct it retrospectively. therefore trauma as the cause is constructed fictionally in present point of view. And tat is the event at which occur level of unconsciousness. The point is, this is the way of memory of the Korean War in the novels in the 1960``s. In their novels, the Korean War is not only the cause of their trauma, but also they summon it endlessly in anyway. And then, the Korean War exists something which reconstructed through Psychological reaction to the present situation. therefore, the Korean War which affects their novels, is something fictional and textual.
