본고는 한국어교육학의 하위 영역인 한국어 습득 연구의 세계화 방안을 모색하기 위한 토대를 마련하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼았다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국어교육학의 학문적 속성을 확인하고 국내외 한국어 습득 연구 동향을 살펴봄으로써 한국어 습득 연구가 한국어교육학의 영역 가운데 우선적으로 세계화를 위해 노력해 볼 만한 분야임을 확인하였다. 그리고 한국어교육학 연구의 세계화 지원의 방향을 구상할 수 있는 바탕을 마련하기 위해 한국어학이나 한국어교육학과 관련성이 높으며 정부 차원에서 세계화에 힘을 기울여 온 한국학 분야에 대한 정부 기관의 지원 현황을 살펴보았다. 그리고 한국어교육학에 대한 정부 기관의 지원 현황을 살펴봄으로써 한국어 습득 연구의 세계화를 도모하는 데 당면한 난점을 점검하였다. 그리고 이러한 논의들을 바탕으로 한국어 습득 연구의 세계화를 수행할 기관을 제안하고 지원의 방향에 대한 구상을 제시하였다.

The study aims at establishing foundations to seek the schemes to globalize the studies in Korean language acquisition from a part of globalizing the studies in Teaching Korean as a Foregin/Second Language. For this, the study investigates the academical attributes of the studies in TKF/SL and ascertains that the studies in Korean Language Acquisition is the academic area worth attempting to globalize. The study also examines the current state of the projects supporting the Korean studies which is closely related to the Korean linguistics and the studies in TKF/SL in terms of the academic area and which befits from Korean government, in order to devise a foundation to conceive courses on supporting the globalization of the studies in TKF/SL. In addition, the difficulties in contriving globalization of the studies in Korean language acquisition considered by examining the state of the supports of governmental organizations on promoting the globalization of Korea language and the studies in TKF/SL. Finally, proper organizations to execute supporting globalization and the schemes on the directions of the supports are presented.
