본 연구는 이민자를 대상으로 하고 있는 사회통합프로그램의 한국어 교재를 분석하여 이민자의 특수한 상황이 얼마나 교재에 잘 구현되어 있는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 분석 교재로는 2013년에 개정된 ‘이민자를 위한 한국어와 한국문화’초급1~중급2의 교재 4권을 선정하여 교재의 구성과 세부 내용을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 초급과 중급 교재의 구성 체계가 조금 차 이가 있지만 체계적인 틀을 갖추고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 세부 내용 분석결과, 의사소통상황이 이민자의 상황을 드러내기에는 실제성과 긴밀성이 부족 한 것으로 나타났다. 주제면에서는 초급보다 중급 교재에서 이민자의 상황을 제시하려는 노력이 엿보였으며, 이러한 노력은 문화면에서도 나타났다. 그러나 기능면에서 대화상황에 따른 다양한 기능 제시가 부족하여 앞으로 이러한 점은 보완되어야 할 것으로 분석되었다.

The research has a purpose of analyzing Korean language textbook of Social Integration Program for immigrants and determining how the special situation of immigrants has been materialized in the textbook. For the analysis, four books of ‘Korean language and Korean culture for immigrants’： elementary level 1~ intermediate level 2 revised in 2013, were selected, and the structures and detailed contents were examined thoroughly. As a result, it was observed that the books have systematic frame even though some structural difference between elementary level and intermediate level existed. As a result of detailed contents analysis, it was shown that the communicative situation has insufficient diversity and closeness to reveal the practical situation of immigrants. It was analyzed to be caused by the unclear presentation of participants or lack of closeness among characters. In terms of topic aspect, elementary level seems to have attempted to present the situation of immigrants better than intermediate level, and it was well presented in cultural aspect as well. In cultural part, the textbook is expected to play a positive role in practical life of immigrants as there are differentiated topics revealed compared to other textbooks used in language courses offered by universities.
