This paper empirically examines the impact of information technology(IT) use on corporate performance and identifies relationships among corporate strategy, application of IT, and organizational performance in creative economy industries. Research results confirm that IT provides several traits of strategic advantages such as efficiency, threat, functionality, integration, and attack and significantly contributes to corporate performance. Moderate effects of corporate strategy on application of IT and corporate performance show quite different patterns depending upon corporate strategies. The findings reinforce the accepted belief that alignment between corporate strategy and application of IT is critical for firms to attain sustainable competitive advantage, subsequently enhances corporate performance. Thus traits of IT must be seriously taken into consideration in corporate strategy formulation process.
