한국과 일본 어린이용 tv프로그램 속에서 나오는 대우표현을 경어와 비경어로 분류하여 조사하는 것을 통해 어린이들은 이런 대우표현을 사용한다 라는 대우표현에 대한 당위적 의식과 어린이들이 이런 대우표현을 사용하기를 원한다 라는 대우표현에 대한 교육적 의식에 대하여 고찰하였다. 그 결과 한국어에서는 어린이는 남에게는 원래 경어를 사용하는 것이 올바른 모습이다 라는 당위적 의식이 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 그리하여 경어를 쓰지 못한 미숙한 자인 어린이라는 존재에게는 교육을 통해 경어를 쓸 수 있게 해줘야 한다 라는 대우표현에 대한 교육적 의식이 있다는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 일본어에서는 어린이는 비경어를 사용한다 라는 대우표현에 대한 당위적 의식이 있다는 것을 알게 되었고 일본어에서는 어린이에게 경어를 사용 할 수 있도록 교육 하려는 교육적 의식은 볼 수 없었다.

Through the inspection of attitudinal expression classified into two group, honorific and non-honorific, appearing in TV programs for children of Korea and Japan, we have investigated the related consciousness from two point of view ; One point from children`s consciousness of ``what should be`` for using certain attitudinal expression and the other point from public consciousness of education for desiring children to use certain attitudinal expression. As a result the fact that in Korea children have consciousness of ``what should be`` for using honorific expression as a right way by nature, has been found. So for the case of childish beings having immature consciousness who are not able to use honorific expression, there have come public consciousness of education for helping them use honorific expression through education. In Japan the fact that children have consciousness of ``what should be`` for using non-honorific expression as a attitudinal has been found and there have come no public consciousness of education for helping them use honorific expression through education.
