Farmer’s Life(1929~1945) is peasant magazine published in Pyungyang City. This writing focuses on criticisms and poems in literary section of Farmer’s Life. By doing so, we tried to understand the true of Pyungyang regional literature in 1930s. Firstly, literary section of Farmer’s Life was active from 1932 but started to be decayed from 1938. They reflects Pyungyang regional literature in mid to late 1930s. Major writers in literary section were connected with regionalism, Pyungyang Christian school relations and they were intellectual youths of twenties. Their connections were small in size but high in density. Secondly, Farmer’s Life published the theory of Christian peasant literature for the first time. They were not only far away from the ethnical and hierarchical reality of the time but also passive in social problems. Farmer``s consciousness oriented view of peasant literature by Yang Judong and reformism view of peasant literature by Han Jeoksun represent such characteristics. Thirdly, poems in Farmer’s Life represents characteristics of peasant poetry, pastoral poetry and expressive poetry. Those characteristics were the trend of young man’s poetry which was most active in 1930s in Pyungyang. From above content, it was confirmed that literatures in Farmer’s Life have major characteristics of Pyungyang literature in 1930s. As a results, they also have characteristic of Christian reformism view of peasant which was the identity of Farmer’s Life.
