The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the level of e-sports participation, attitudes toward sports and leisure competence. To achieve the purpose of this study, survey responses were collected from 463 university students from two universities located in C-Province in Korea. The major findings from quantitative analyses are as follows. First, the level of e-sports participation affected attitudes toward sports, where some effects were positive. Second, leisure competence was also affected by the level of leisure participation, and some effects were also positive. These results suggest that the positive aspects of e-sport participation should not be ignored or underestimated, and the policy related with e-sport should consider these findings.
