This dissertation studied the attitude of the male language arguing women``s sex in the Soji style. Soji was a petition that was submitted by all social positions to a government agency during the Joseon era. The petition was a kind of writing assuming litigation against the upper class or the lower class. Since Soji had to be written with a fixed standard and in Idu language, it could only be written after undergoing additional training other than standard style Chinese Character training. Many Sojis have been ghostwritten because some people could not write. Among the literate stratum of society, ghostwriting was done by the lower class. Ghostwriters wrote on behalf of the illiterate population and made a living or earned money for trivial expenses out of it. They practiced Soji style for the sake of ghostwriting. They wrote pieces of work after hearing from petitioners. In the course of this process, literate male``s language was frequently transformed into the language of authority which targeted illiterate female``s sex. Male writers actively intervened and made their voluntary statements with their style of language in cases, characters, states of minds regarding women``s sex. There were other cases when some pieces were written on supposed cases in the midst of transcribing the Soji style writing for ghostwriting. From time to time, authors wrote some fabricated works in the Soji style. 「Gisaengingaesoji」 was not a real petition submitted by the gisaeng Ingae but a fabricated product by a male writer who borrowed the Soji style. Then, why did the writers describe women``s sex in the style? They did it so as to arouse the readers`` interest and peep into women``s emotions as if an actual female writer was describing the real case. In that process, women``s sex was caricatured and the Soji style was borrowed as a good literary style.
