고전 글쓰기의 현재성은 어디에서 찾아야 하는가? 한자로 기록된 과거의 문장인 한문산문은 왜 현재적인가? 우리는 왜 글쓰기의 차원에서 한문산문을 읽고 배워야 하는가? 본고는 이러한 질문에 대한 해답을 찾아가는 과정과 크게 다르지 않다. 그 동안 글쓰기의 차원에서 한문산문의 현재성을 논한 연구는 많았지만, 대체로 몇몇 작가와 작품 및 특정 문체만을 분석하여 해당 텍스트의 현재적 의미와 가치를 추출하는 방식으로 진행되었다. 더욱이 이 과정에서 효용성의 관점이 크게 작동하면서, 한문산문은 연구자의 의도와 상관없이 늘 ‘현대의 타자’ 그 이상의 의미를 확보하기가 쉽지 않았고, 고전 글쓰기의 총체성 또한 제대로 파악하기 어려웠다. 이에 본고에서는 고전 글쓰기와 현대 글쓰기의 대화적 소통 가능성에서 현재성을 파악해야 한다는 전제 아래, 글쓰기의 보편성 차원에서 고전 글쓰기의 현재성을 새롭게 규정하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 고전 글쓰기를 바라보는 지금의 인식을 점검한 뒤, 그 결과를 토대로 고전 글쓰기의 보편성의 얼개를 대략적으로 그려보고, 향후 관련 연구의 방향을 제언하였다. 이때 개별 작가나 작품 및 문체를 절취해 분석하지 않고, 글쓰기의 보편성 차원에서 교차 읽기를 진행함으로써 고전 글쓰기와 현대 글쓰기의 대화적 소통 가능성을 확보하였다. 고전산문(한문산문)은 고전 작가들의 글쓰기에 대한 고민과 그 고민에 대한 해답의 총체다. 오늘날 창작과 교육에서 직면하게 되는 다양한 문제들을 해결함에 있어서, 고전은 좋은 길잡이가 될 수 있다. 다만 부분을 절취하는 방법만으로는 고전을 제대로 이해하기도 어렵고 활용할 수도 없는 만큼, 보편성을 토대로 고전 글쓰기의 이론을 새롭게 정립할 필요가 있다. 따라서 향후 고전 글쓰기의 현재성 논의는 다음의 두 가지 방식으로 동시에 이루어져야 할 것이다. 기존의 연구 방법, 즉 주요 작가와 작품을 분석하여 현대적 가치를 찾아내고 이를 바탕으로 새로운 교육 모델을 만들어내는 방법 또한 유지하되, 현대와 소통 가능한 언어로 고전 글쓰기의 보편적얼개를 온전히 구축하는 작업도 동시에 진행해야 한다. 그래야만 고전 글쓰기의 보편성과 특수성이 보다 명확해지고, 시대의 변화에 걸맞게 지속적으로 재해석되고 새로운 의미를 부여받게 될 것이다.
Where do we find modernity of classic writing? Why is bypast Chinese prose which recorded by Chinese characters currently? Why do we must read and learn Chinese prose in the dimension of writing? This paper is process to find answers about these questions. The researches on modernity of Chinese prose have been plenty in the dimension of writing but, they are going methods which extracts modern meanings and values through analysing certain writers`s works and style. Moreover a view of utility affects in the these processes, always Chinese prose hardly had meaning above ‘others of modern’ without researcher`s intention, so we have seldom understood totality of classic writing too. Therefore this paper tries to newly define modernity of classic writing in the dimension of universality of writing as we must understand modernity in interacting possibility of conversation between classic writing and modern writing. For this, first of all, this paper checked current awareness on classic writing, and then it described sketchy frame about universality of classic writing based on first results, finally, it proposed direction of relation research after that. While I am studying this research, I do not analyse certain writer`s works or part of style. So this paper establishes possibility of conversational communication between classic writing and modern writing through processing of inter-reading in the dimension of writing`s universality. Classic prose(Chinese prose) are considerations of classic writers and whole of answers on these consideration. Nowadays, as to solve various problems which faces in creating and educating, classic can be a good leader. However, as only method which cuts part of classic writing hardly understanding classic and uses them, theories of classic writing need to newly establish based on universality. Therefore forward discussions on modernity of classic writing should conduct two methods at the same time. Existed research method which make new educational model based on the results of finding modern values through analysing major writer`s works should synchronize with the research which bodily construct universal frame of classic writing with languages which can communicate to modern. Only this, universality and distinctiveness of classic writing will be more clearly, and consistently interpreted and given to new meanings.
