다양한 매체를 활용해서 문학을 교육하는 방법이 빈번하다. 이런 경향은 급변하는 매체 환경에서 성장해 온 학생들의 언어적 감수성을 고려한 것이기도 하고 문자 중심의 표현과 전달 방식의 양태가 많이 달라진 현 상황을 반영한 것이기도 하다. 요컨대 과거 문학의 사회적 기능을 이제는 다양한 매체와 형식이 많이 대신하고 있다는 것이다. 다양한 매체에서 문학이 제공했던 미적 가치를 경험한다는 것은, 시적인 것과 서사적인 것을 발견하고 미적 체험을 향유한다는 것을 말한다. 이런 체험은 다양한 매체는 물론이고 우리를 둘러싼 주변 환경에서도 가능하다. 주변의 사물이나 건축 그리고 우리를 둘러싼 공간의 디자인적 요소에서 서사적 체험을 경험하는 것이 그것이다. 이 글은 이런 사례들을 구체적으로 제시하고 그것이 소설의 서사성과 어떻게 변별되는지 혹은 연관되는지 검토하면서 서사(성)의 본질을 고민하고 싶었다. 그중에서도 특별히 특정 에피소드나 패턴에 한정해서 검토했다. ‘삼각관계 플롯’이 그것이다. 소설이나 드라마에서 자주 채택되는 ‘삼각관계 플롯’이 다양한 텍스트 즉, 광고와 그림, 음악 등에서 어떻게 기능하고 있는지 살피고자 했다는 것이다. 이 글이 좀 독특하다면 클래식 음악과 삼각관계 플롯을 연관시켰다는 것이다. 음악은 인간의 희노애락을 소리로 표현한 장르이므로 당연히 우리의 삶과 밀접하게 연관된다. 그리고 여타의 서사처럼 삼각관계 플롯 역시 이야기를 이끄는 원동력으로 작용하고 있다. 이 글은 각종 조형물에서부터 광고, 그림, 음악 등에서 서사성을 발견하고 체험하며 서사의 의미를 묻고자 했다.

There are a variety of methods to educate literature by leveraging various media. Such tendency is something that has taken into consideration the linguistic sensibility of those students having grown in the rapidly changing media environment and also that has reflected the current situation that is very different from the text-centric expression and transmission method. In short, the social function of literature in the past is substituted in large part by various media and formats. Experiencing aesthetic values provided by literature from various media refers to discovering poetic and narrative things and sharing aesthetic experiences. Such experience is made possible not only through various media but also in an environment that surrounds us. That is equivalent to having narrative experience from the design elements of things, architecture and space around us. This articles was intended to present the aforementioned cases in detail and ponder over the essence of narrativity by reviewing how it would be distinguished from the narrativity of novel or how it would be related thereto. To this end, this article examined only a few selected episodes or patterns. One of them is ‘love triangle plot’, which is often employed in many novels and dramas. That is, this article intended to examine how it was functioning in various texts, including advertisement, painting and music. If this article is deemed somewhat unique, then it is because this article has related class music to love triangle plot. Music is a genre to express human feelings through sound. On this account, it should be closely related to our lives. Also, love triangle plot, just like the other narratives, becomes a driving force to lead a story. Therefore, this article aimed to discover and experience narrativity in advertisement, painting and music from various sculptures and pose a question on the meaning and essence of the narrative.
