본 연구의 목적은 대학생이 경험하는 진로 미결정의 잠재적 요인을 메타 분석적으로 살펴봄으로써 진로 문제의 개념화를 위한 기초 정보를 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 2000∼2014년도 에 출판된 진로 미결정과 관련 있는 변인들과의 상관 연구들을 수집하여 상관관계 결과의 행렬을 제시하고 있는 연구 103개를 수집하였다. 수집된 연구들을 다시 진로 미결정과 관계가 있는 변인들로 반복적으로 보고되고 있는 지표 변인들(예: 진로 준비행동, 특성불안, 진로결정 효능감, 부모애착, 완벽주의 등)이 적어도 1개 이상을 포함하고 탐색적 요인분석에 적합한 연구 33편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 33개의 상관행렬을 분석 자료로 사용하여 최대우도 요인추출법과 사각회전 방식으로 요인분석을 반복적으로 실시한 후, 공통 요인을 탐색하기 위해서 메타 분석적으로 요인분석 결과를 종합하여 요인 부하량의 중앙값을 산출하였다. 국내 대학생을 대상으로 실시된 진로 미결정과 관련 된 다양한 변인들 간의 상관 결과를 이용하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 진로 미결정의 잠재 적 요인은 자율성의 부족, 심리/정서적 문제, 사회적 지지의 부족, 공적 정체감 중시의 네 가지 요인으로 탐색되었다. 이를 바탕으로 대학생 진로 상담에서 진로 미결정의 문제를 이해하고 개입하기 위한 상담 실제 및 연구에 대해 논의를 하였으며, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

The purpose of the present study was to provide basic knowledge about conceptualization of career difficulties through exploration of latent factors of career indecision. 103 journal articles regarding relationship of career indecision and various variables published in from 2000 to 2014 were collected. Through comprehensive literature search strategies, 33 published correlation matrices that seemed amenable to factor analysis and included at least one manifest variables that were indicated repeatedly in the previous researches (e. g., career preparation behavior, trait-anxiety, career decision self-efficacy, parent attachment, perfectionism etc.) were identified. Each of the final 33 matrices was subjected individually to exploratory factoring with oblique rotations, using maximum likelihood to determine the number of factors to extract prior to rotation. The final rotated factor pattern matrices were inspected to identify common factors and median of factor loadings were computed to combine the results, meta analytically. The result indicated four underlying factors (e. g., lack of self-directedness, psycho-emotional difficulties, lack of social support, and focusing on public identity) of career indecision in college students. Discussion also focused on future directions and practical implications for conceptualization of career indecision in career counseling for college students based on the current results.
