본 연구는 재난 대응 심리 개입에 대한 상담자들의 경험과 요구 실태를 조사하기 위해서 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 상담관련 주요학회(한국상담학회 및 한국상담심리학회), 서울 경인지역 중고등학교 와 청소년상담복지센터 소속 상담자 300명을 조사 대상으로 하였다. 조사도구는 재난상담 교육 경 험 및 요구, 재난상담 참여경험 및 수행역할, 인접 분야와의 상담자 수행 역할 유사도 등에 대한 12 문항의 설문이 실시되었다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전반적으로 응답자들은 재난상담 관련 교육 경험이 적었고, 재난 상담 참여 경험 유무나 경력 수준별 차이에 상관없이 교육 요구는 모든 항목에서 전반적으로 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전체 응답자들 가운데 약 25% 정도가 재난 상담 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 응답인원 대비로는 5년 이상의 경력자들의 참여도가 높은 편이었다. 셋째, 응답자들은 재난 상담 시 역할을 의사 및 임상심리사와 비슷하게 인식하고 있었으며, 따라서 실제 역할과 다소간 불일치를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 몇 가지 논의와 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to provide a comprehensive data on counselors`` experience and perception about disastrous situation when proper psychological support is needed. This study carried out a survey targeting 300 counselors belong to major counseling associations(Korean Counseling Association and Korean Counseling Psychological Association), middle and high schools in Seoul-Incheon area, and youth counseling & welfare centers. The survey consisted of 12 questions about training experience of disaster counseling, needs of disaster counseling training, participation experience and performance role of disaster counseling, and counselors’ role similarity to adjacent fields. The results of the study are as follows. First, the respondents, overall, had less experience of disaster counseling training, and there was a great demand for disaster counseling training regardless disaster counseling experience and different career levels. Second, among all respondents, only 1/4 had field experience. The counselors with five or more years of experience showed the highest rate of disaster counseling experience in the field. Third, the respondents had a perception that their roles in disaster counseling are similar to those of doctors and clinical counselors. Thus, there exists an inconsistency in counselor’s actual roles in disaster counseling. Based on the results, discussions and suggestions are provided.
