본고는 한용운의「알 수 없어요」를 작품 내적 요소와 심리주의 비평의 방법으로 분석하여 그 내용과 의미를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 「알 수 없어요」는 문장의 종결형, 감각적 표현으로 나타난 ‘누구’, 변형된 문장 구조에서 드러난 ‘누구’와 ‘나’의 관계 등을 통해 사랑하는 대상에 대한 탐구의 의지를 강하게 나타내고 있다. 1-5행에서 반복되는 의문형과 6행에서 변형되어 나타나는 평서형의 문장 종결, 문장 구조, 수식어, 감각어로 느끼는 구체적 대상에 대한 갈망 등은 이러한 화자의 마음가짐과 태도를 표출한다. 또한 이 시는 모든 자연물과 자연 현상에서 사랑하는 대상(‘누구’=‘님’)에 대한 ‘나’의 집중과 몰입을 보여준다. 이는 스탕달이 언급한 사랑의 결정 작용과도 일맥상통하는 심리이며, 사랑에 대한 소유 욕망과 연결된다. 시의 1-5행은 여러 자연현상을 통해 타자의 긍정적이고 초월적인 모습을 강조하고 있다. 마지막 6행에서 화자인 ‘나’는 사랑하는 ‘타자’를 통해 자신을 발견하고 ‘약한 등불’을 통해 ‘밤’이라는 부재의 상황, 미지의 상태에서 탐구의 의지를 드러낸다.「알 수 없어요」는 사랑과 탐구라는 가치를 보여주며, ‘누구’와 ‘나’에 대해 끊임없이 발견하고자 하는 의지를 담은 작품이다.

And it is connected to the possession desire for the love. 1-5 line emphasizes the attitude of which is positive and transcendental the others through the natural phenomenon. In 6 line, the speaker discovers me through the other and Expose the will of the exploratory through the weak lamp. `` I can``t know`` shows the value called the love and exploratory. And it is the poem which it puts the will which comes out and which it is trying to discover constantly about the ``somebody`` and ``I``.
