웨어러블 디바이스 중에서 스마트워치는 현재 많은 관심을 받고 있지만 그에 비해 소비자들의 반응은 기대치에 미치지 못하고 있다. 그 원인으로 스마트폰이나 스마트TV와는 다른 발전 배경을 가진 새로운 스마트 기기인 스마트워치가 사람들에게 이질감을 느끼게 한다는 주장이 있다. 그러므로 스마트워치의 환경을 고려한 사용자 경험 측면에서의 발전이 필요한 상황이다. 스마트워치는 물리적으로 바깥쪽을 향하는 시계화면, 기능적으로 스마트폰보다 개인적인 역할을 수행하는 기기로서 개인정보 노출로 인한 프라이버시 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 스마트워치에서 스마트폰과 동일한 알림체계가 아닌 스마트워치의 사용환경을 고려한 알림체계의 필요성을 느껴 스마트폰과 차별화된 스마트워치의 환경을 고려한 알림 방향성을 제안하고자 한다. 스마트폰과 스마트워치의 사용환경을 분석하고 각각의 분석한 사용환경에서의 기기들의 알림들을 구성하였다. 그리고 각 디바이스들의 알림들을 재구성한 알림 시각화모델에 적용하여 각 사용 환경에서의 알림특성을 분석하였다. 두 기기의 알림 시각화모델은 분명한 차이를 보였고, 그 차이점을 통해 스마트워치의 알림 방향성을 제안한다.

Among wearable devices, smartwatches receive much attention today, but consumer reaction to them falls short of the expectations. For this reason, its development in the aspect of user experiences in consideration of smartwatch environment is needed. In the aspect of user experiences, a smartwatch can cause privacy problems arising from personal information exposure on the physically outward watch display and on the device that performs functionally more personal roles than smartphones. Accordingly, recognizing the necessity of a notice structure that considers the user environment of smartwatch, this research attempts to propose the direction of the notice structure in consideration of the smartwatch environment that is differentiated from that of smartphones. The user environment of the smartphone and the smartwatch was analyzed, and the notice structure of the smartphone and the smartwatch was composed in the respective, analyzed, user environment. And the notice structures of each device was applied to the redesigned notice visualized model and the characteristics of the notice structures in the respective user environmentwere analyzed. The notice visualized models of the two devices clearly showed differences, and through these differences, the notice direction of the smartwatch is proposed.
