In these days, the existing foundation and landscape for the study of literature have been ‘dancing’ indeed. It is not clear when dance was introduced to literature, but, in the perspective of literature itself, it can be said that it came to pass as early as the human history began. However, in the perspectives of studying literature as a part of modern research, dancing is regarded to be occurred only recently. One of the reasons that there exist two perspectives on dance is that classical literature is different from that of the modern and contemporary. In the perspectives of modern literature which is represented by text media including text, book, and print, if it were made clearer, the classic literature characterized by the 1st oral literature is converged so that researchers view with limited perspectives the 2nd oral literature which is rather a new paradigm. Although the 1st and 2nd oral literature are considered to have the same characteristics in that both emphasizes reality as its prime goal to accomplish, the current study on literature seems to consider 2nd to be less manageable that 1st. It may be true in that both face problems, but the main point is that both have different media environments to realize how to store texts as well as the condition of communication. In the past, text media would exercise major influence on the 1st oral literature. But there is time limitation to store body movements and communicating it later as the time passes. This is why text literature is recognized as the only way to reserve information. Of course, text also exists in the form that reality is removed. However, the 2nd oral literature can be called to be the world of dancing and text commotion because it helps to conserve to a great degree reality by directly storing and communicating with the help of media technology. It influences similar effects on texts in text literature which does have little to do with reality. The degree of dependence on text is inevitably getting weaker in the environment where text communication among individuals increases. For example, without knowing original authors or works, people in these days are able to read texts transformed by cutting, abbreviating, excerpting, and modifying original literature. In regard of the 2nd oral literature as suggested above, dancing ‘Chunhyang’ is to a great extent equivalent to literature, and body-motions are important aspects in literature. For that reason, this article tries to make an attempt to introduce through ballet Chunhyang-jeon what effects and roles body-motions strengthened by media technology have on literature. Ballet Chunhyang-jeon has strong characteristics as global literature so that it is necessary to study it in terms of globalization of Korean literature and culture. In this article, Pansori Chunhyang-jeon is selected as a relative genre in an attempt to analyze ballet Chunhyang-jeon. The reason is that ballet Chunhyang- jeon is about body-motion, while Pansori Chunhyang-jeon is about body-sounds; ballet Chunhyangjeon is about globality, whereas Pansori Chunhyang-jeon is about locality. This article also suggests that in order for ballet Chunhyang-jeon to prove to be global literature and culture in the hybrid of both, the study should pay attention to jangdan[rhythm] as a mechanism to govern and control the movements of body; ie, move here and there, because it is claimed that the goal of Korean creative ballet Chunhyang-jeon lies in the jangdan[rhythm].
