본 연구는 현재까지 진행된 집단상담 윤리 연구 및 관련 자료를 통합적으로 검토하여 집단상담 윤리의 주요 요소별로 현황과 문제점을 살펴보고, 이후 집단상담 윤리 규정과 연구를 위한 제언을 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 출판된 집단상담 윤리 연구 및 관련 자료, 국내외 학회 윤리 강령, 집단상담 장면에서 활용하고 있는 오리엔테이션 자료들을 중심으로 집단상담 윤리 개관을 크게 세 개의 범주로 개관하였다. 세 개의 집단상담 윤리 범주는 집단원 권리 및 교육 윤리, 집단상담자 전문성 및 책임 윤리, 집단상담 과정 및 운영 전반에 대한 윤리이다. 범주별 세부 윤리 요소로 첫째, 집단원 권리 보호 및 교육 윤리로 비밀보장, 상담관계, 사전동의, 다문화, 미성년자 및 학교 장면의 집단원에 관한 윤리, 둘째, 집단상담자 전문성 및 책임을 위한 윤리로 집단상담자의 전문성 및 전문적 책임에 관한 전문가 윤리, 셋째, 집단상담 과정 및 운영 윤리로 집단상담 구성 및 운영상의 윤리, 집단상담 과정에서 주의할 집단상담 윤리로 구분하여 기술하였다. 이를 토대로 추후 집단상담 윤리 관련 연구 및 윤리 규준 개정에서는 누락되거나 제한적이었던 집단상담 윤리적 관점을 보다 구조적 이고, 상담실제에 실효성 있게 보완될 필요가 있다는 것을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 국내에 집단상담 윤리 관련 연구가 거의 없는 상황에서 집단상담 윤리에 대한 중요성 및 관심을 유발하고, 대안을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to comprehensively review the group counseling ethics research and related materials up to date, and explore the current state and issues for major components of group counseling ethics. Ultimately, we sought to provide directions for future group counseling ethics regulations and research. For this, we gathered existing research or publications on group counseling ethics, current codes of ethics of various associations, and orientation materials used in actual group counseling settings and reorganized their contents largely into three categories. First category was ‘member rights protection and education,’ which included confidentiality, counseling relationship, prior consent, and rights of multicultural, minor, or school-setting group members. Second category was ‘protection for group counselor``s professionalism and autonomy,’ which included professionalism and professional responsibilities of group counselors, supervision and training, and professional ethics on relationships with other professionals. Third category was ‘group counseling process and management,’ which included ethics on group composition and management, and note of caution during group counseling process. Based on this review, the study suggested that future group counseling ethics research and regulation revisions should be fortified with more structure and practicality. The study was significant in that it highlighted the importance of group counseling ethics and paved a way for future studies.
