동북지역에 있어서 분포된 신라신사에 대해 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 몇 가지 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 그곳에 신라의 문화가 이식되는 데는 신라인의 이주에 의한 것과 일본인의 이주에 의한 것이 있었다는 점이다. 전자는 일본 어느 지역에 정착했다가 다시 동북지역으로 이동한 것에 비해, 후자는 그들의 의지와 관계없이 일본인에 의해 타율적인 형태의 이주였다. 둘째, 신라신사의 건립에는 신라인에 의한 것, 지배자 난부씨에 의한 것, 삼정사계 승려에 의한것으로 3가지 유형이 있다는 점이다. 그것에 따라 제신도 달라지는데, 신라인이 건립한 신사에는 스사노오 혹은 신라여신이지만, 난부씨의 경우 그들의 시조 신라 사부로 요시미쓰, 삼정사계는 신라선신이었다. 셋째, 일본인에 의해 건립된 신라신사는 오우미의 삼정사의 신라선신당에서 출발한다는 공통점이 있다는 사실이다. 신라선신당에 모셔진 신라선신은 원래는 당나라에 거주하는 신라인의 신앙대상이었다. 이는 삼정사의 승려 원진이 당나라 유학 때 결정적인 도움을 준 신라인의 우호상징이기도 하다. 그리고 난부씨의 시조 요시미쓰가 신라사부로라는 이름을 가지게 된 것도 이곳에서 성인식을 하였기 때문이다. 따라서 일본인이 세운 신라신사는 중국의 신라방에서 출발하여 일본으로 들어가 관서의 삼정사에 정착하였고, 그것을 신앙한 요시미쓰에 의해 야마나시 지역으로 진출하였고, 요시미쓰의 후예인 난부씨의 이주와 삼정사계 승려들의 활약으로 동북지역으로 진출하여 오늘에 이르고 있는 것이다.

This article is about the Shilla shrines in Tohoku area. From the analysis of Shilla shrine data, three main points were cleared by this study. Firstly, The Shilla culture was introduced by the two way of Shilla’s migration. Although the former are migrated by their own, but latter are deported by the Japanese. Secondly, the Shilla shrines were built by the three different figures, Shilla person, local ruler Nanbu, Samjung’s Monk. From this different background of founder, different type of god were enshrined, Susanoo(or Shilla’s goddess), Nanbu’s progenitor Yoshimitsu, Shilla’s Zenjin. Thirdly, the Shilla shrines, which was built by the Japanese, were started from the ShillaZenjintou. Shilla’s Zenjin was worshiped by the Shilla resident in China. Also, it was a symbol of the friendship between Samjungsa’s monk Wonjin and Shilla. And Nanbu’s progenitor, Yoshimitsu Shilla Saburo’s named after his age ceremony was held at the Shilla shrine. Therefore, Shilla shrines, which were built by Japanese, are started from the China’s ShillaBang and transported to Kansai area(Samjungsa), spread to Yamanashi and Touhoku area.
