이 연구의 목적은 미래 사회에서 요구하는 화법 역량을 살펴 교육적 관점에서 화법 역량의 틀을 재구조화하는 것이다.미래 사회의 요구와 관련된 문헌을 살펴,다문화 사회 진입으로 인한 다양한 사회 구성원과 소통할 수 있는 화법 역량,정보 통신 기술의 발달로 인한 다중모드 텍스트를 활용할 수 있는 화법 역량,전문화 사회의 도래로 인한 직무 수행을 위한 화법 역량이 필요함을 확인하였다. 화법 역량에 대한 미래 사회의 요구를 바탕으로 국어교육의 관점에서,화법 역량구조의 중심축을 설정하기 위해 ‘본질성’을,화법 역량 구조를 재편하기 위해 ‘항존성’을,사회적 변화에 능동적으로 적응하기 위해 ‘진화성’이라는 화법 역량 재구조화의 원리를 제시하였다.이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 미래 사회에 필요한 화법 역량을 ‘정보 전달적 화법 역량’,‘설득적 화법 역량’,‘협력적 화법 역량’,‘관계적 화법 역량’으로 하여 횡축으로 설정하고,사회 변화 코드를 ‘다문화 문식성’,‘매체 문식성’,‘직업 문식성’으로 하여 종축으로 설정하였다.

This study aims to look into speaking and listening competence demanded by future society and to restructure frame of speaking and listening competence from the educational viewpoint. It investigated literature related to demand of future society and confirmed the necessity of speaking and listening competence to communicate with various members of society due to entrance into multi-cultural society, the necessity of speaking and listening competence to utilize multi-modal text due to development of information and communications technology, and the necessity of speaking and listening competence to perform job due to advent of the specialized society. On the basis of the research result, it established such speaking and listening competence as ‘informative communication competence’, ‘persuasive communication competence’, ‘cooperative communication competence’, and ‘relational communication competence’ which are necessary for future society on the horizontal axis while it established such social change code as ‘multicultural literacy’, ‘media literacy’, ‘job literacy’ on the vertical axis.
