본고는『燕臺再遊錄』에 나타난 유득공의 중국인식을 그의『熱河紀行詩註』와의 비교를 통해서 살펴보았다. 연대재유록 은 중국의 사천과 호북 지역 소요사태를 파악하기 위한 분명한 목적 하에 이루어진 연행 체험 결과물로서 기존의 『熱河紀行詩註』 에 나타난 피상적인 인식보다 한층 심도 있는 중국인식이라고 할 수있다. 연대재유록 은 유득공이 연경 再遊를 통해 기존의 화려한 중국의 외피만본 게 아니라 그 화려함 속에 내재되어 있는 심각한 내적 모순과 위기까지 정확하게 인식하였음을 보여준다.즉 19세기로 들어선 청나라는 관료들의 부패,재정의 고갈,부세의 가중 등으로 인해 민란이 사방에서 일어나고,심지어 외적으로는 서양인들마저 호시탐탐 노리는 위험한 현황이라는 것을 끈질긴 탐색과정을 통해 밝혀 낸 것이다.따라서 치밀하고 정확한 중국 인식을 가질 수 있도록,지속적으로 진행했던 탐문의 과정 자체가『연대재유록』이라는 독특한 내용과 형식을 갖춘 한편의 연행록을 이루게 하였다.

This paper observed Lyu, Dug-gong’s understanding about China in Youn Dae Jae You Log by comparing with Yeolha Travel Poetry Note and got the conclusion that the Chinese understanding in Youn Dae Jae You Log was so different from the Chinese understanding in Yeolha Travel Poetry Note 1790. As an achievement from the envoy experience which aimed at getting well known about the situation of disturbance in Si Chuan and Hu Nan areas, Youn Dae Jae You Log had deeper understanding about China. In Youn Dae Jae You Log, Lyu, Dug-gong got better known about the serious inherent contradictions and crisis under China’s prosperous surface by retraveling to Pecking. That was to find and expose the dangerous situation in China of 19 century such as the disturbances caused by the bureaucratic corruption in Qing dynasty, economic depression and exorbitant tax and even the danger of foreign aggression. For this, Youn Dae Jae You Log is a Yeonhaengrok with special content and form which had a very correct understanding of China as the result of the writer’s visiting process.
