본고는 표현의 관점에서 김소월의 시 「산유화」에 나타난 시공간의 양상을 분석하고자 하였다. 여기서 표현의 관점이란, 재현의 원리와 표상적인 체계 속에서 특정 시작품의 의미를 규정적인 것으로 파악하는 태도와는 달리, 변화와 생성의 차원에서 어떻게 이미지가 전개되고 있는가 하는 점에 주목하는 태도를 뜻한다. 이에 본고는 「산유화」가 상대적인 시공간을 전제로 이미지가 전개되고 있음을 살펴보았다. 「산유화」에 나타난 공간의 양상은, 개화와 낙화로 대표되는 순수사건이 펼쳐지는 잠재성의 공간으로 이해된다. 특히 ‘저만치’라는 공간을 개화라는 사건이 일어나는 특이점으로 파악함으로써 변화와 생성의 모습이 어떻게 상대적으로 주어진 공간의 차원에서 구현될 수 있었는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 「산유화」에 전제된 상대적인 공간성은 다시 상대적인 시간성으로 연결된다. 이는 ‘저만치’와 같이 특이점으로 존재하는 공간에서 사건이 분화하고 있고, 이때 분화된 사건은 ‘흐름들의 우발적인 만남’의 형태로 이루어지고 있다는 점에서 확인된다. 한편‘갈(가을) 봄 여름’ 없이 주기적으로 반복되는 시간의 흐름 속에서 개화라는 사건은 지속되며, 그러한 지속이 차이나는 것의 반복에 의해 변화와 생성으로 나아가고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이상의 논의를 토대로 궁극적으로 김소월의 시 「산유화」는 특정 의미로 귀결되는 것이 아니라, 그 자체로 변화와 생성으로 주어진 다양한 이미지의 구현을 보이고 있다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the aspects of space-time appearing in Sowol Kim’s “ Sanyuhwa”from the point of view of expression. The point of view of expression means the attitude towards paying attention to how images are developed in terms of transformation and creation, unlike an attitude identifying the meaning of particular poetry in the principle of reproduction and representative system. For this reason, we analyze that images are developed in the premise of relative time and space in “ Sanyuhwa”. Aspects of space appearing in “ Sanyuhwa”are understood as the space of virtuality in which pure events such as blooming and falling blossoms are developed. In particular, we would like to identify that transformation and creation are implemented in the relative dimension of space by understanding the space of ‘ Jeomanchi’as a singular event in which blooming occur. The relative spatiality premised in “ Sanyuhwa”is connected to relative temporality again. It is found that the event is differentiated in the spacewhere it exists as the singularity like ‘ Jeomanchi’andthe differentiated event is present in the form of ‘accidental meeting of flows’. On the other hand, the event of blooming is persisted in the flow of periodically repeated time without ‘fall, spring and summer’. Such persistence moves towards transformation and creation by repeating varied persistence. On the basis of above discussions, Sowol Kim’s “ Sanyuhwa”is significant for the following reason: it is not concluded in a particular meaning, but it shows the implementation of various images representing transformation and creation.
